What does CIW stand for?

Campaign for Fair Food: The CIW’s national Campaign for Fair Food educates consumers on the issue of farm labor exploitation – its causes and solutions – and forges alliances between farmworkers and consumers that enlist the market power of major corporate buyers to help end that exploitation.

Today the CIS directs its efforts in six main areas: 1) Astronomy at the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism (Washington, DC) and the Observatories of the Carnegie Institution of Washington (Pasadena, CA and Las Campanas, Chile); 2) Earth and planetary science also at the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism and the Geophysical Laboratory (Washington, DC); 3) Global Ecology at the Department of Global Ecology (Stanford, CA); 4) Genetics and developmental biology at the Department of Embryology (Baltimore, MD); 5) Matter at extreme states also at the Geophysical Laboratory; and 6) Plant science at the Department of Plant Biology (Stanford, CA).
